On my  path as a life-long journalist, I've met hundreds of people at their lowest moments with a genuine empathy and desire to do their stories justice. People respond openly, let down their guard, and  share their pain and loss with me.

Some of my most memorable stories are ones that wind their way to court. Of course the full story is never seen on the stand. I realized I can use my skills to benefit victims in the most direct way, by helping people tell their stories and get justice in the legal system.
